Papa’s Got a Brand New Ride Sweepstakes

Official Contest Rules 

 

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.  A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING.  VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

 

1.      HOW TO ENTER

 

a.      The Papa’s Got a Brand New Ride Sweepstakes contest will begin on 6/2/08 at 6:00AM ET and end on 8/31/08 at 11:59PM ET (the “Contest Period”).

 

b.      To participate in the contest, you may enter via the following method(s):

 

 

1.      ONLINE:  Visit www.94wysp.com or www.papasgotabrandnewride.com during the Contest Period and click on the “Papa’s Got a Brand New Jeep” banner.  To enter online, you must enter your first name and last name, complete address, city, state, zip code, home telephone number, date of birth and a valid email address in the online entry form.  One Internet entry per person and one Internet entry per email address.  Internet entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry.  The authorized account holder is the natural person who is assigned to the email address by an internet access provider, online serve provider or other organization that is responsible by assigning email address or the domain associated with the submitted email address.  Multiple participants are not permitted to share the same email address.  All entries submitted become the sole property of the Station and will not be acknowledged or returned.  Use of any device to automate entry is prohibited.  Proof of submission of an entry shall not be deemed proof of receipt by Station.  Station’s computer is the official time keeping device for the sweepstakes. 

 

2.      BY MAIL:  For entries by mail, send a 3x5" note card with your full name, complete address, daytime telephone number, and date of birth to 94 WYSP, Papa’s Got a Brand New Jeep, 400 Market Street, 9^th Floor, Philadelphia, PA 19106. 

 

3.      ON-SITE:  Fill out an entry blank with your full name, complete address, daytime telephone number, and date of birth at any Extreme Team appearance that takes place during the Contest Period.  A list of Extreme Team appearances is available on WYSP’s website. 

 

c.      All online entries must be received by 11:59PM EST on August 31, 2008.  Email or drop off entries received after 11:59PM EST on August31, 2008 will be ineligible.    All mail-in entries must be postmarked by August 27, 2008 and must be received by August 31, 2008.  Mail entries postmarked after August 27, 2008 will be ineligible.  All entries received on-site must be received by the conclusion of the respective remote. 

 

d.      WYSP is not responsible for lost, stolen, mutilated, misdelivered, postage due, illegible or untimely entries.  Station also is not responsible for entries not received due to difficulty accessing the internet, service outage or delays, computer difficulties or other technological glitches.

 

2.      ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS

 

a.      The contest is open to all listeners who are eighteen (18) years of age or older and reside in the greater Philadelphia metropolitan area. Employees of Jeep, WYSP, its licensee, its parent corporation, their affiliated entities, affiliated advertising agencies, participating sponsors/promotional partners, other radio stations in the Philadelphia metropolitan area and the member of their immediate families and those living in the same household are ineligible to win.

 

b.      Listeners are eligible to win a 94 WYSP contest only once every sixty days and a prize valued at $600 or more only once every six months.  Only one winner per household is permitted in any contest.

 

c.      Entrants are required to provide truthful information and the Station will reject and delete any entry that it discovers to be false or fraudulent.  The Station will disqualify any entry from individuals who do not meet the eligibility requirements, and the Station will also delete any entry received from persons under the age of 13 in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.

 

d.      To be eligible to win the Grand Prize vehicle, the potential Grand Prize winner (i) must possess a valid driver’s license, (ii) must have proof of or be able to obtain automobile liability insurance and any other state automobile insurance requirements as of June 2, 2008 and prior to taking possession of the vehicle prize and (iii) must be able to meet any credit requirements prior to acceptance of the prize.

 

 

 

3.      PRIZES

 

A.     One (1) Grand Prize: The grand prize winner will receive a two (2) year lease on a 2008 Jeep Wrangler that 94WYSP has been using for the length of the promotion.   The lease includes 15,000 miles per year for a total of 30,000 miles.  If upon returning the Jeep has exceeded 30,000 miles in the two years, winner is responsible for a $0.20 charge for every mile exceeding 30,000.  Upon returning customer is responsible for damage beyond normal wear and tear.  Winner recognizes that the car has been used during the promotion and agrees to accept the car as is and recognizes that the car will have accrued mileage and may have minor damage.  Grand Prize Winner will be solely responsible for any applicable vehicle title, license and registration fees, freight, delivery, dealer prep, emissions inspection, additional equipment, all federal, state and local taxes, insurance, gasoline, vehicle maintenance, all other fees and expenses not specified herein associated with the receipt and use of this prize vehicle.  Any additional vehicle options (including the interior and exterior color of the prize) not specified herein are subject to availability and will be the responsibility of the Winner.  Neither the Participating Station nor the other sponsors have made or are responsible in any manner for any warranties, representations, or guarantees, express or implied, in fact or law, relating to the Grand Prize vehicle, including without limitation, its quality, mechanical condition, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose, with the exception of any standard manufacturer's warranty that may apply to the vehicle  Winner may be required to provide proof of insurance and a valid driver’s license to take delivery and must take delivery at Chapman Ford within 5 days of notification.  Approximate Retail Value: $12,000

 

b.      There is no substitution, transfer, or cash equivalent for prizes, except that Sponsor may, at its sole discretion, substitute prizes of comparable value or cash.  The prizes are expressly limited to the item(s) listed above and do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expenses.  Other restrictions may apply.

 

4.      WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION

 

a.      Decisions of the Station management with respect to the contest are final.

 

b.      Odds of winning are based on number of entries received. One (1) grand prize winner will be drawn randomly on September 1, 2008 at approximately 12PM ET. 

 

c.      Winner need not listen or be present to win.

 

d.      Winners must execute and return any required Affidavit of Eligibility/Release of Liability Prize Acceptance Form within five (5) days of notification attempt or prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner may be chosen by random selection of remaining entries.  If a potential winner cannot be contacted, fails to sign and return the required affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release within the required time period, or if a prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, potential winner forfeits prize.

 

 

5.      CONDITIONS

 

a.      Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winners.  Winners may be required to sign an IRS Form W-9 or the equivalent.

 

b.      By participating in the contest, the winner or winners agree to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest without additional financial or other compensation, and, where legal, to sign a publicity release confirming such consent prior to acceptance of the prize. 

 

c.      Prior to awarding any prize or prize certificate, the Station in its sole discretion may require contest winners (and their travel companions, if any) to sign a liability release, agreeing to hold the Station, its corporate licensee, its parent, subsidiary and affiliated corporations, and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the contest.

 

d.      The Station, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process, the operation of the Station’s website or is otherwise in violation of the rules.  It further reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the sweepstakes if it is not capable of completion as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any sort.

 

e.      The Station reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the contest, including the substitution of a prize or equivalent value, which will become effective upon announcement. If due to circumstances beyond the control of the Station, any competition or prize-related event is delayed, rescheduled, postponed or cancelled, the Station reserves the right, but not the obligation, to cancel or modify the contest and shall not be required to award a substitute prize.

 

f.        Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in a contestant’s disqualification solely at the discretion of the Station.

 

g.      The Station is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest, or in the announcement of a prize.

 

h.      Copies of the written contest rules and a list of winners (when complete) are available during regular business hours at the main studio of Eagles Radio 94-WYSP
